M.G University PhD Admission 2022 important dates

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should be qualified the Post-Graduate examination in any discipline with no less than 55% marks (50% in the aggregate in the PG Examination for reserved category) from M.G.U or any other Universities recognized as thereto are eligible to apply for the Written Aptitude Test.

Applicants who are awaiting results of their PG Examinations can also apply, but they have to produce their passing certificate as per the scheduled date.

There will be exemption from WAT under following conditions

• JRF awardees,
• UGC Teacher Fellows, Phil and M.Tech (all discipline),
• Applicants who have qualified in the SLET/ GATE/ GPAT/ NET, JEST,RGNF or other entrance exams conducted by such Government bodies as UGC, CSIR, ICMR/ ICAR
• MD & MS (Modern Medicine, Ayurveda and Homoeopathy) Degree holders in the subject of research concerned
• DST Women Scientist Awardees
• Scientists from the Accredited R & D Institutions
• Regular and permanent teachers from the University Departments and the Government/Aided Colleges/institutes affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University
• INSPIRE/ MANF/ KSCST Fellowship Awardees

Application Form: How to apply?

Candidates can apply for MGU PhD WAT 2022 online only through the official website of the Mahatma Gandhi University i.e. (www.mgu.ac.in) as per scheduled date. Fill the details required in the form correctly and completely. They also have to upload the important documents such as photo and signature as per the given format. Applicants should pay Rs 1000/- (Rs.500/- for applicants from SC/ST category) as necessary application fee. The payment can be made through online payment gateway only. Candidates should note that, the fee is non-refundable. Submit the duly filled application form on or before the due date. Candidates have to take the printout of submitted application form and send to university with all the relevant documents including self-attested photocopies of the Provisional Certificate/ PG Degree and the P.G. secured Mark list, Eligibility Certificate for candidates of Universities other than Mahatma Gandhi University, Caste Certificate (if applicable) etc.

Examination Pattern

The PhD Written Aptitude Test (WAT) will be comprised of two parts i.e. Part – A & Part – B. The duration for the exam is two hours. Details of both parts are given below:
