Applications are invited from the candidates who seek enrolment into the ITI courses offered by the institutes of Daman & Diu. Candidates will be shortlisted for admissions on the basis of their performance in the qualifying exam. The application form is expected to be released in the month of June 2022 and the selection process to begin from August 2022. • The selected trainee will be allowed a change of trade within first month of their admission provided they possess the requisite qualification of the other trade and there is any vacancy available.
• Every trainee admitted to ITI will have to appear for the aptitude test and pass it successfully.
• Candidates who fail to complete the admission process as per the specified time limit will lose their candidature.
• Those who successfully complete their training and clear the All India Trade Test of Craftsman will be issued a Provisional Certificate.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Daman and Diu ITI 2022 are given below:

Nationality:

• The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Domicile:

Any of the following domicile criteria must be fulfilled by the candidate:

• The candidate should have been residing in Daman/ Diu for a period of at least two years preceding the year of the application.
• Applicant should be the children of the Central/ State/ Union Territory Govt. employee posted in Daman/ Diu.
• Applicant should be the children of the Freedom Fighters registered in the Home Department in the Administration of Daman & Diu.
• Ex-Serviceman
• Applicant should be the children of parents (both) who are born in Daman/ Diu and who are serving in the Armed forces provided that such children pass their qualifying exam under the Central board of education.

Age limit:

• The minimum and maximum age of the appearing candidates should be 14 and 40 years respectively.
• A relaxation of 3 years to SC candidates and 5 years to ST candidates will be given in the maximum age.

• The applicants are required to submit a medical certificate examined by a Medical Officer of Govt. Hospital at the time of admission certifying that he/she is fit to join the institute.

Application Form

The candidates can obtain the application form for Daman and Diu ITI Admission 2022 from the official website. Candidates are required to download the application form, fill it in their own handwriting and sent it to respective ITI along with copies of important documents.

• In the application form, the candidates will have to provide their basic personal details such as name, father’s name, category, address, etc.
• Qualifying exam details like name of school, year of passing, marks obtained, etc will be asked in the application as well.
• Choice for trade and institute must also be provided at the time of filing the application form.
• After providing these details carefully into the application form, the candidates can submit it in person or via registered post.
• The application fee will be Rs. 50/- which must also be sent along with the form and the documents.

• School leaving certificate
• Marks statement and passing certificate of class 8^th/ 10^th/ 12^th/ Diploma in engineering (as applicable)
• Residence certificate in Daman & Diu for two years preceding the date of application (if applicable)
• Proof of date of birth
• Certificate that the candidate’s father or mother is employee of the Central/ State Government (if applicable)
• Certificate that the candidate’s father or mother is a freedom fighter (if applicable)
• Certificate that the candidate’s father or mother is/ was a defence personnel

Selection Process

• The application form submitted by the candidates will be scrutinized and after that merit lists will be prepared.
• Merit lists will be drawn on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in their qualifying exam (8^th/ 10^th/ 12^th/ diploma).
• Separate merit lists will be drawn for admissions into different trades.
• The merit list/ selection list will be published on the notice board of the institute at Daman/ Diu and the candidates will also be informed at their address.
• Shortlisted candidates will have to appear before the Principal, ITI Daman/ Diu along with the original certificates for verification, photographs and copy of the filled-in admission form.
• Candidates who get their documents verified successfully will have to pay caution money and any additional fee as applicable to confirm their admission.
