RRB NTPC Selection Process
Due to a large number of applications, Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts multiple rounds of the selection process to shortlist the candidates. The rounds of selection organized by the board are as follows.
- 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Typing Skill Test/ Computer Based Aptitude Test (As applicable)
- Document Verification/ Medical Examination
Those who will clear the 1st stage Computer Based Test (CBT) will be shortlisted for the 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT). Similarly, those who will clear the 2nd Stage CBT will be allowed to go through Typing Skill Test/ Computer Based Aptitude Test.

- Duration of examination – 90 minutes

- Negative Marking – 1/3 mark will be deducted in case of an incorrect answer

Typing Skill Test (TST)
- The typing skill test is qualifying in nature.
- Only 8 times the number of vacancies will be called for typing test.
- Candidates need to type at the speed of 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 words per minute (WPM) in Hindi on a PC.
- The use of editing tools and spell check facilities are not allowed.
