IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern: Marking Scheme, No. of Questions
Through the IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern, candidates can get an outlook of the common written exam which will be conducted for the IBPS clerk recruitment. The exam pattern gives the details about the format of the IBPS clerk question paper, marks scheme, nature of the questions, time duration and the other premises of the examination.
IBPS Clerk Exam will be conducted through the online mode. There will be two parts in the exam viz., IBPS Prelims and IBPS Mains. Candidates will be asked questions from different subjects which will be of the objective nature. The subjects from which questions will be asked in the examination will be Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking) and Computer Knowledge. IBPS Clerk Pre Exam Pattern
- There will be 100 questions in the IBPS Clerk Pre Exam.
- Every question will carry 1 mark.
- The total marks of the questions paper will be 100.
- Questions in the IBPS Pre Exam will be asked from three subjects which will be of Reasoning, English and Quantitative Aptitude.
- Candidates will be required to qualify in each of the three tests of IBPS Clerk prelims exam by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.

IBPS Clerk Main Exam Pattern
- There will be 200 questions in the IBPS Clerk Pre Exam.
- Every question will carry 1 mark.
- The total marks of the questions paper will be 200.
- The Main Exam will consist of 5 sections.
- Questions in the IBPS Pre Exam will be asked from three subjects which will be of Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking) and Computer Knowledge.

IBPS Clerk Exam Negative Marking Provision
- Candidates need to be cautious while choosing the answer in the IBPS Clerk question paper as there will be negative marking in the Pre and Main exam.
- Candidates’ 1/4th marks will be deducted as penalty for every wrong answer.
- However, no marks will be deducted for the questions which are left unattempted by the examinee.
IBPS Clerk Marking Scheme
- Candidates will be required to attain overall cutoff in the exam.
- In addition to that, they will have to secure the sectional cutoff marks as well to qualify the IBPS pre and main exam.
- The marks will be calculated as per the IBPS Clerk exam pattern through the equi-percentile method
