WBUT PGET 2022: Eligibility Criteria, Application Form, Exam Date
Admission to postgraduate courses M.Tech and M.Pharma offered by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT, formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology or WBUT) is given on the basis of Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET). Interested candidates who also meet the eligibility criteria for admission need to fill and submit an application form. WBUT PGET Eligibility Criteria 2022
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria prescribed below can apply for WBUT PGET 2022:
- Nationality: Candidates who belong to Indian nationality are only eligible to apply.
- Education qualification: Candidates should hold a BE/ B.Tech or M.Sc degree in relevant branch as mentioned below in order to be eligible for M.Tech degree course. For M.Pharma course, a degree of B.Pharma is required.

WBUT PGET 2022 Application Form
The application form for WBUT PGET 2022 will be released in online mode and can be obtained from the official website of the university www.makautwb.ac.in. Those who fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed above can proceed to fill their application forms.
- At first, the candidates will have to fill an enrolment form and generate an enrolment id and password.
- Once generated, the enrolment id and password will be sent on the registered email address and phone number.
- Using these credentials, the candidates can login to their account and obtain the application form.
- Candidates will have to provide their basic personal and academic details like name, date of birth, category, gender, qualifying exam passing year, marks obtained, etc into the application form.
- Photograph and signature of the candidates in the scanned format should also be uploaded into the application form.
- Sponsored candidates also need to upload a copy of sponsored certificate from the present employer.
- After all the details are provided into the application form, it can be submitted online along with the prescribed application fee.
- Upon successful submission, the candidates should take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.
- The candidates are not required to send the hard copy of application form or any other document to the university.

- The application fee will be Rs. 600/- for GN/ OBC category candidates and Rs. 300/- for SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates.
- Online payment of application fee can be done through net banking, debit card or credit card.
WBUT PGET Exam Pattern 2022
The exam pattern for WBUT PGET 2022 is provided below:

- Marking scheme: For each right answer 1 mark will be given.
WBUT PGET 2022 Admit Card
- The WBUT PGET admit card 2022 will be made available for download on the official website of the university.
- Candidates should take a printout of admit card and carry it to the exam center along with a valid identity proof.
- In the absence of these documents, the candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall and give their exam.
- Candidates must note that no admit card will be sent to them via means of post, courier, etc.
- It is advised that the candidates keep their admit card safe till the complete process of admission is over.
WBUT PGET Result 2022
- The authorities will announce the result of the entrance exam on the official website of the university.
- Using their application details, the candidates can check their result and download their score card.
- Those who clear the entrance exam will have to appear for group discussion and personal interview round.
- Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the exam and performance in GD & PI round, a merit list will be prepared in the order of ranking.
- Counseling of the shortlisted candidates will be done on the basis of their ranking in the merit list.
WBUT PGET 2022 Counseling
- Candidates will be communicated the detailed counseling schedule through the official website of the university.
- At the time of counseling, the candidates will be allowed to provide their choice for course specialization.
- Documents and eligibility of the selected candidates will also be verified after which they will be granted admission.
- Those selected for final admission should then complete formalities like payment of fees, submission of documents, etc and secure their seats.
WBUT PGET FAQs 2022
What if I am unable to appear for the group discussion and personal interview round?
The candidates must appear for the GD & PI round if they want to be considered for admission. Failure to report will lead to rejection of candidature even if you have cleared your entrance exam with good score.
What is the admission process for the candidates who have qualified the GATE/ GPAT score?
Every candidate desirous of admission to the M.Tech or M.Pharma degree program will have to appear for the PGET. GATE/ GPAT qualified candidates will be given appropriate weightage of their score at the time of creating the merit list.
What is the admission process for the sponsored candidates?
Candidates must have work experience of at least one year in Polytechnic/ Engineering College/ Industry in order to be considered under sponsored category. Rest admission process is same as for a normal candidate.
How will I get the details about the exam center allotted to me for appearing in WBUT PGET 2022?
The details of the exam center allotted to the candidates along with the schedule of the exam will be communicated to the candidates through their admit card.
What documents should I carry with me while reporting for the counseling process?
All academic documents from class 10th onwards, category certificate, disability certificate, photographs, application form copy, admit card copy, GATE/ GPAT certificates, as applicable should be carried by the candidates while reporting for the counseling process.
