UPTET 2022: Application Form, Exam Date, Important Dates
UPTET or Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). It is a state-level exam organized to determine the eligibility of aspiring teachers in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Please note that different exams are conducted for primary teachers (class 1st to 5th) and upper primary teachers (class 6th to 8th). Interested candidates can apply for both the exams if they are eligible. The application form for UPTET 2022 will release in online mode only. UPTET 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must make sure that they meet the following eligibility criteria before submitting the application form.
Age Limit
- The age of a candidate should be between 18 to 35 years.
Number of attempts
- There is no limit on the number of attempts that can take for UPTET exam.
Educational Qualification
Paper – I (Primary Level Teachers)
Aspirants must meet any one of the following educational qualification criteria
- Candidates should have completed graduation in any field from a UGC recognized institute/ university. After completing the graduation, aspirants must have completed two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Candidates studying in the final year of D.El.Ed. are also eligible.
- Aspirants must have completed the Basic Training Certificate (BTC) after graduation. Aspirants studying in the final year of BTC are also eligible.
- Candidates should have completed graduation from a recognized institute. Plus, aspirants should have a Diploma in Education/ RCI recognized by RCI. Aspirants in the final year of graduation are also eligible.
- Applicants should be pursuing a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree after completing graduation or post-graduation with a minimum of 50% marks.
- Candidates must have completed graduation or post-graduation with 45% marks along with B.Ed.
- Candidates should have completed graduation along with BTC in Urdu. Students who are in the final year of BTC can also apply.
- Aspirants must have completed graduation and a diploma in teaching from Aligarh Muslim University.
- The applicant must be a graduate and should acquire a degree of Moavill-E-Urdu before 8th August 1997.
- Aspirants should have completed class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks. Apart from this, candidates must have finished 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Paper – II (Upper Primary level teachers)
Aspirants must possess any one of the following educational qualification
- Candidates must have completed graduation from a recognized college/ university. Apart from this, candidates should also have completed 2 years D.El.Ed.
- Aspirants must have a bachelors or PG degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Apart from this, candidates must also have B.Ed./ B.Ed. (special education) degree. Those candidates who are currently in the final year of B.Ed./ B.Ed. (special education) can also apply.
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks. Then, aspirants must have completed 4 years B.Sc.Ed./ B.Sc.B.ed degree from a UGC/ NCTE recognized institute. Candidates who are studying in the final year of B.Sc.Ed./ B.Sc.B.ed. are also eligible.
- Applicants must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks. Plus, candidates should have completed 4 years B.El.Ed. degree. Aspirants who are currently in the final year of B.El.Ed. can also apply.
- Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Apart from this, candidates must also have a B.Ed. degree. Those who are in the final year of B.Ed. can also apply.
UPTET 2022 Application Form
Interested and eligible candidates who want to apply for the UPTET exam need to submit the online application form. The complete process of application form submission is explained below.
- To start the application form submission, aspirants have to register on the official website i.e. http://updeled.gov.in.
- At the time of registration, candidates are required to provide their basic details like name, Aadhar number, father’s name, mobile number, email address, first language, etc.
- After registration, candidates have to validate their mobile numbers using OTP.
- Next, applicants are required to log in and access the main application form.
- In the application form, candidates should fill their complete educational, contact and personal details.
- Make sure you enter authentic details in the application form because incorrect details may result in the rejection of your application form.
- Along with the details, it is also compulsory for all candidates to upload scanned images of their passport size photograph and signature.
- It is also mandatory for all aspirants to pay the necessary application fee along with the application form.

Mode of payment: The application fee can be paid online using a credit card, debit card, or internet banking.
UPTET 2022 Admit Card
- Candidates who will fill and submit the application form before the last date will be able to download admit cards online.
- In order to download admit cards, candidates have to provide their registration details on the official website.
- Information related to the examination date, timing, and venue will be mentioned on the admit card.
- No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without an admit card.
- Along with the admit card, candidates are also required to carry a photo ID proof at the time of examination.

- Language – I: Language comprehension, Hindi alphabets (vowels, consonants), Spotting error/sentence correction, Difference between all the sounds, varnas, anusvars, resonant and lunar points, Noun, pronoun, verb and pronoun, Phrase, gender and time, Usage of punctuations, Idioms and phrases, Sentence formation, Works of poets and writers

UPTET 2022 Answer Key
- Soon after the exam, the preliminary answer keys for both paper – I and paper – II will be released online.
- With the help of answer keys, candidates will be able to match their answers with the correct ones.
- In case any candidate is not satisfied with the answer key then he/she can challenge the same.
- After considering all challenges, the final answer keys will be released. Please note that the result will be prepared based on the final answer keys.
UPTET 2022 Result
- After conducting the exam, authorities will display the UPTET result online through the official website.
- The subject-wise and total marks secured by candidates in the exam will be mentioned on the scorecard.
- It is mandatory for candidates to score 60% marks i.e. 90 marks out of 150 in order to clear the UPTET 2022 examination. (55% i.e. 82 out of 150 marks are required for reserved category candidates)
- Successful candidates will then receive a UPTET eligibility certificate which will remain valid for 5 years.
