TN SET Eligibility Criteria 2022
Aspirants looking to apply must make sure that they are eligible. The eligibility criteria of TN SET 2022 are explained below.
Age Limit
- There is no upper or lower age limit in order to apply.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates need to have a Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% for General Candidates.
- Aspirants belonging to OBC/ SC/ ST categories and persons with disabilities should have at least 50% in the post-graduation.
- Those who are in the final year or are waiting for their result can also apply.
TN SET Application Form 2022

- First and foremost, you need to visit the official website of the university i.e. www.tnsetau.in.
- On the official website, you will have to register by entering a few of your basic details.
- It is necessary for candidates to enter their basic details like Name, email address, phone number, etc. during registration.
- After completing the registration process, you may log in to the official portal by entering your credentials.
- Once signed in, you will have to enter your complete educational, personal, and contact details.
- Make sure you enter the correct details. Otherwise, the form can get rejected.
- Along with the details, you need to upload the image of your photograph and signature after scanning them.
- If you need to upload any document such as income certificate, community certificate, and PwD certificate then you should upload the same in PDF format.

Application Fee
The application fees are different for candidates from various categories as given below.
- General Candidates – Rs. 1500/-
- OBC (Non Creamy Layer) – Rs. 1250/-
- SC/ ST/ PwDVI, HI, PH – Rs. 500/-
Mode of payment – All candidates need to pay the application fee online using a credit card, debit card, or internet banking.
TN SET 2022 Admit Card
- The Hall Ticket or Admit card will release only for those candidates who will submit the application form before the last date.
- Candidates may download the admit card through the official website by providing a few of their registration details.
- An admit card will carry important information related to the date, time, and venue of the examination.
- It is necessary for all candidates to carry their admit card at the examination center.
- Along with the admit card, candidates must carry their one original photo ID proof.

TN SET 2022 Answer Key
- The university will make the preliminary answer keys available on the official website.
- Candidates may use answer keys to match their answers with correct ones. In this way, they can get a rough idea about the marks they are going to score.
- In case a candidate is not satisfied with the answer key then he can also challenge the same.
- The university will consider all the challenges and then release the final answer key.
- The result will be prepared on the basis of the final answer key.
Result
- To check the result, candidates need to visit the official website of the university that will conduct the exam.
- The result card will display after entering your roll number and other registration details.
- Candidates will get their ranks in the top 6% (taking Paper I and Paper II) and secure at least 40% marks will be declared qualified for the post of Assistant Professor.
- The minimum cut off marks for OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ PWD are 35%.
