One of the state universities in Maharashtra will shoulder the responsibility to conduct the Maharashtra SET Examination 2022. Last year, this exam was conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly University of Pune). The aim of this exam is to choose candidates for the post of Assistant Professors in the state of Maharashtra. Maharashtra SET 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Only those candidates who meet the following eligibility criteria can apply for Maharashtra SET 2022 examination.
- The candidates from general category who have secured at least 55% marks (without gracing or rounding off ) in Master’s or equivalent examination, are eligible for this test. The OBC/ SBC/DT(VJ)/NT [belonging to non-creamy layer and SC/ ST/ Transgenders/ PwD category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without gracing or rounding off) in Master’s or equivalent Examination are eligible for this test.
- Please note that candidates from reserved categories should have a valid category certificate recognized by the Govt. of Maharashtra & Goa.
- The candidates of other States (other than Maharashtra & Goa) belonging to reserved categories shall be treated as General Category, as per the reservation policy of the Maharashtra and Goa States.
Maharashtra SET Application Form 2022
The application form for Maharashtra SET 2022 will release online through the official website. Interested candidates looking to apply need to fill and submit the application form. The complete details related to the application form submission are given in the following points.
- First of all, you will have to register by entering a few of your basic including your email address, phone number, etc.
- Your login credentials will be registered at the time of registration.
- In the next step, you will have to register by entering your username and password.
- After that, the main application form will display on your screen.
- In the main application form, candidates need to provide their complete educational, personal, and contact details.
- The details entered in the application form should be correct. Otherwise, the same will be rejected.
- It is compulsory for all candidates to upload scanned images of their passport size photograph and signature.
- Passport size photograph in JPG/ JPEG format of maximum 50 kb.
- Signature in JPG/ JPEG format of maximum 30 kb.
- Next, you need to pay the necessary application fee in online mode.
- Finally, take a printout of the application form submitted and keep it safe for future requirement.
Application Fee
The application fees are different for candidates from various categories.
- Open – Rs. 800/-
- SC/ ST/ **PwD/ Transgender OBC/ DT(A)(VJ)/ NT(B)/ NT(C)/ NT(D)/ SBC ( Non-Creamy Layer Only)/ EWS (Open) Including Orphan – Rs. 650/-
Maharashtra SET 2022 Admit Card
- The admit card will release 10 days prior to the examination dates.
- To download the admit card, candidates need to sign in by entering their login Id and password.
- The admit card will carry information such as examination date, venue, and timing.
- It is necessary for all candidates to carry their admit card and one photo Id proof.
- Photo Id proof such as Adhar Card, PAN card, Voter Id etc. are accepted as photo ID proof.
- Keep the admit card safe even after the exam for future references.
Exam Pattern
The examination pattern of Maharashtra SET 2022 is given below.
- Mode of examination – Offline (OMR Sheet based test)
- Type of questions – Objective type multiple choice questions

- Duration of examination – 3 hours (180 minutes)
- Marking Pattern – Each question will carry 2 marks
- Negative Marking – 0.5 marks will be deducted in case of an incorrect answer.

Maharashtra SET Answer Key
- The university that will conduct the exam will release answer keys soon after the examination.

Maharashtra SET Result
- The result of Maharashtra SET 2022 examination will release online through the official website.
- Candidates need to enter their roll number along with other registration details to check the result.
- The information about paper-wise and total marks secured by candidates in the entrance test.
- 6% of the appeared candidates (appeared for SET in both the papers) will be declared qualified. This is equal to total number of qualifying slots i.e. minimum number of candidates to be qualified.
