GPAT 2022: Admit Card (Released), Exam Date (9 April), Books to Prepare, Syllabus
The Graduate Aptitude Pharmacy Test (GPAT 2022) will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to M.Pharma and its equivalent courses provided by the colleges across the country. Candidates can apply for the exam by filling the online application form for the same. NTA has released GPAT 2022 admit card on 6th April 2022. The exam will be conducted in online mode and candidates will be given a total of 3 hours to complete the exam. The GPAT score is accepted by all AICTE approved institutions/colleges and will be valid only for three years. Admission in the given program will be given based on the cutoff for GPAT score decided by the participating colleges.

GPAT 2022 Application Form
The application form for GPAT exam can only be filled via online mode i.e. by visiting the official website of the NTA i.e. https://gpat.nta.nic.in/. The authority has released the application form on 16th February 2022. They should keep their documents, scanned photograph and signature handy. To fill the online form, candidates first need to register themselves for the exam using their basic details such as name, mobile phone number, email id, etc. After the registration is successfully completed, they need to head towards the application form filling part. The application form will include details such as name, father’s name, educational records, address, gender, category etc. These details must be entered carefully as no correction window will be provided once the form is submitted successfully. The form should be submitted with the application fee on or before the deadline specified by the authority.
Application fee: General and OBC category candidates need to pay Rs. 1400/- and those from the reserved category must pay Rs. 700/- as the required application fee. Bank changes might be applicable to the application fee. Candidates can make the payment through credit card, debit card, internet banking and E-Challan of SBI bank.
Note: Female and transgender candidates need to pay Rs. 700/- despite from the category they belong to.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria defined by the authority is as follows-
- Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
- Age limit: There is no age limit specified by the authority for appearing in the GPAT entrance exam.
- Qualifying examination: Candidates should hold a degree in Pharmacy (including lateral entry candidates) from a recognized University/Institute. Those appearing in the final year can also apply for the exam. B.Tech or its equivalent degree holders cannot apply for the exam.
GPAT 2022 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for GPAT entrance exam is provided below-
- Exam mode: Online (Computer-based test)
- Duration: 3 hours
- Medium: English only
- Type of questions: Objective type (MCQ based)
- Total number of questions: 125 questions
- Marking scheme: 4 marks will be awarded for marking the right answer
- Negative marking: 1 mark will be deducted for marking the incorrect answer

The syllabus for GPAT exam will be of the level of B.Pharma and candidates have to prepare the subjects taught during graduation. Here are the key topics under the syllabus-

Preparation tips to excel the exam
Here are some useful tips on how to prepare for GPAT 2022 exam with the help of which candidates can easily score good marks in the exam-
- Make a timetable and stick to it no matter what. The timetable should be realistic enough so that it can be followed easily.
- Start the preparation from scratch by mastering the basic concepts first and then only move for the complex ones.
- Do not underestimate the power of revision. Make a habit of revising the topics studied at the end of the day to sustain them longer in the memory.
- Solve online mock test series for practicing and analyze the area in which improvement is needed.
- Sleep well and avoid distractions such as social media, phone, TV series etc.

Admit Card
- The admit card for the GPAT 2022 can be downloaded from the official website.
- Candidates need to login into the website to download the admit card using their credentials.
- They need to keep a printout copy of the hall ticket and preserve it for future reference.
- The admit card must be brought to the exam venue otherwise the candidates won’t be allowed to appear in the exam.
- They also need to bring a valid ID proof along with the hall ticket to the exam venue.
- The admit card mustn’t be damaged or soiled or mutilated under any circumstances.
GPAT Result and Selection
- The result of the GPAT entrance exam will most probably be announced in the 2nd week of February 2022.
- It will be displayed on the official website in form of a merit list.
- The authority will prepare the merit list based on the marks scored by the candidates in the exam.
- The scorecard of GPAT 2022 will be valid for three years only.
- Candidates can apply for admission separately in each participating institute.
- Their selection will be based on the cutoff for GPAT score decided by the respective institutes.
