The Directorate of Employment and Training (DTE), Gujarat annually invites applicants for admission in different technical and non-technical trades offered by the ITIs in the state of Gujarat. Candidates can apply for Gujarat ITI admission 2022 by filling the online application form. The application form is now available from 3rd May 2022.

Before filling the online form, candidates should make sure that they meet the eligibility requirements for the course in which they seek admission. The authority will select the candidates for ITI admission in different trades such as carpenter, draftsman, beautician, cosmetologist, motor mechanic, fitter, plumber and so on based on the marks secured by them in the qualifying examination. Gujarat ITI admission 2022 Application form

In order to apply for admission in ITI, candidates need to fill the online application form by visiting its official website. They should keep their documents handy before they fill the form. The application form will bear the details that the candidates have to fill such as name, contact number, address, DOB, father’s name, educational qualification, etc. Applicants also need to upload their latest scanned passport sized photograph and signature in the form.

The application form must be filled as per the correct knowledge of the candidates. Before submitting the form, they should go through the filled-in details to check if the information they have provided is correct or not. Candidates need to submit the form along with the application fee on or before the due date specified by the authority to avoid the rejection of their application.

Application fee: Applicants need to pay Rs. 31.50/- as the application fee. The fee can be paid online i.e. through credit card, debit card and net banking.

Eligibility criteria for Gujarat ITI admission 2022

Candidates must fulfill the eligibility conditions laid down by the authority to get admission in ITI. Here are those essential conditions-

Age Criteria: Candidates should be minimum 14 years old. However, for some courses, the age of the candidates must not be less than 18 years. Reserved category candidates can claim age relaxation as per the rules.

Qualifying Examination: Candidates should have passed SSC/class 10^th or its equivalent from a recognized board. For admission in certain trades, candidates should have passed HSC/class 12^th or its equivalent from a recognized board. Candidates can obtain the details of such courses from the official website of the DTE.

Note: Applicants should be both physically and mentally fit/stable to go through the rigorous training provided by the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). Along with that they need to obtain the medical fitness certificate from a competent authority for Gujarat ITI admission 2022.

Admission procedure

Admission in different it is located in the state of Gujarat will strictly be based on the merit list drawn by the authority. The merit list will be made keeping in mind the marks scored by the candidates in the concerned qualifying examination. Only those candidates will be selected who fulfill the eligibility criteria as stated by the authority. The shortlisted candidates will then be invited to attend the counselling procedure.

Counselling

The shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for the counselling. Such candidates will then need to attend the counselling process where they are required to indicate the choice of trade and ITI they wish to enroll in. The authority will then allot a seat to the candidates based on their merit rank, the choice made during the counselling and the number of seats available in that particular course/trade. Once the seat allotment procedure is completed, candidates need to take the allotment letter and report to the allotted institute to finish the formalities including document verification.
