Engineering trades:

• For 1-year Welder (Gas & Electric), Carpenter and Plumber: The candidates should have passed their class 10th exam or equivalent from a recognized board.
• For 1-year Information Technology & Electronics Systems Maintenance: Applicants need to clear their class 10th exam or equivalent from a recognized board with Science & Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• For 2-year Machinist, Turner and Fitter: Those who have cleared their class 10th exam or equivalent from a recognized board are eligible.
• For 2-year Draughtsman Civil/ Mechanical, Tool & Die Maker, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electronic Mechanic, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic and Machinist Grinder: A pass in class 10th exam or equivalent from a recognized board with Science and Mathematics is required.

Non-engineering trades:

• For 6-monts Data Entry Operator: Applicants should pass their class 10th exam from a recognized board with English as a subject. Typing speed of 30 words per month in English/ Hindi/ Regional Language is also required.
• For 1-year Computer Operator & Programming Assistant and Cutting & Sewing: The candidates who have cleared their class 12th exam from a recognized board or 3-year polytechnic or equivalent from a recognized board can apply.
• For 1-year Stenography (English): A pass in class 12th exam from a recognized board with English as a subject is required
• For 1-year Stenography (Hindi): Those who clear their class 12th exam from a recognized board with Hindi as a subject are eligible to apply.

Physical fitness:

• The candidates should be physically fit so that they can carry out the important physical work related to their trade.

Moral character:

• The applicant should be of good moral character.
