Engineering Exams 2022 Admission Date, Eligibility
A large number of candidates after passing their 12th class exam wish for admissions into engineering courses. Such candidates can appear for the Engineering Exams 2022 conducted at different levels- national, state and university level. Master’s level courses are also offered in the field of engineering and the candidates with relevant bachelor’s degree can apply for them.
Depending on their interest and the eligibility for the same, the candidates can apply for any of these entrance exams. Some exam will be held online, others offline. Similarly application process for some will be online and some offline. Basic Eligibility for Engineering Entrance Exams 2022
The basic requirements that must be fulfilled by the candidates appearing for Engineering Exams 2022 are given as:
- For undergraduate courses: It is necessary for the candidates to clear their class 12th exam or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in order to be eligible for BE/ B.Tech courses. Appearing candidates are eligible too. For B.Tech in Biotechnology, Biology as a subject instead of Mathematics is required.
- For postgraduate courses: Candidates with a BE/ B.Tech degree in the relevant field or equivalent can apply for the postgraduate engineering exams. Appearing candidates are eligible too.
- The final eligibility criteria will depend on the institute in which the candidates seek admission and the exam conducted for that purpose.
List of Engineering Entrance Exams 2022
Certain top engineering entrance exams 2022 (both UG and PG level) that are conducted at national, state and university levels are given below.
National Level Engineering Exams 2022
The candidates can get admissions into NITs, CFTIs, IIITs and many other participating colleges by clearing JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination). The exam will be conducted online and twice a year by NTA. Candidates can apply for first attempt in September and for second attempt in February.
Admission into IITs will be provided to the candidates on qualifying JEE Advanced exam. Interested candidates who clear the JEE main exam are eligible to appear for the advanced exam. Such candidates will have to register freshly for the advanced exam.
APIIT NAT
The Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APTIT) will be conducting a National Aptitude Test (NAT) to shortlist candidates for admission into its engineering courses. the interested candidates who also meet the eligibility criteria for the exam can submit their application online from the month of October.
A national level entrance exam, SAAT, will be conducted by Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University hopefully in the month of April. Candidates aspiring to get enrolled into the engineering courses of this university can apply for the same in online mode.
State Level Engineering Exams 2022
The APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (referred commonly as AKTU) will be conducting the state level Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE). Admissions will be offered to the selected candidates into the different participating institutes on the basis of this entrance test. The application process and the exam, both will be online.
The students aspiring to get enrolled in the engineering institutes of the state of Bihar will have to clear the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE). Applicants will be able to fill their application form in online mode hopefully from the month of March.
Odisha Joint Entrance Examination will be regulated by the Government of Odisha to select candidates for admission into engineering courses. The selected candidates will be provided enrolment into the various institutes situated in the state. Candidates can begin application submission tentatively from the month of March.
A state level exam, West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination will be organized by the WBJEEB to shortlist candidates for admission into engineering colleges of this state. The process of application will be online and will begin tentatively from the month of December.
Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) will be conducted at state level to provide the selected candidates admissions into engineering colleges all over the state. the Directorate of Technical Education will held the responsibility of conducting the exam and will be conducted in May hopefully.
AP EAMCET, a state level engineering entrance exam will be conducted to select applicants for enrolment into engineering courses. The enrolment will be granted into different institutes of the state based on candidates’ performance in the entrance test.
Candidates clearing the TS EAMCET exam will be eligible for admissions into the engineering colleges of the Telangana State. The applicants will be able to apply for the exam online and the exam will also be held in online mode.
Candidates aspiring to get admissions into the engineering colleges can apply for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test. The exam is organized by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority) and is expected to be held in the month of April. Interested candidates can begin application submission hopefully from the month of February.
The Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala will be conducting state level engineering entrance examination. Applicants qualifying the exam will be eligible for admission into the engineering colleges of Kerala state. Application will be released online and exam will be conducted offline.
The candidates who qualify the Tripura Joint Entrance Examination will be considered for admission into the engineering colleges of the state. The candidates can start filling their application form most probably from the month of January. It is expected that the exam will be held in the month of April.
The candidates interested to appear for the COMEDK UGET can apply for the same in online mode from the month of January (tentatively). Those qualifying this exam will be offered admissions into different engineering colleges of the state of Karnataka.
The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) process will be carried out on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in their qualifying exam. Those selected candidates will be given admissions into engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu. Interested candidates can apply for the admissions from the month of April.
University Engineering Exams 2022
The Birla Institute of Technology will be conducting a university level engineering entrance exam, BITSAT, in order to select the candidates for engineering courses. The entrance exam will be conducted in online mode hopefully in the month of May.
Admissions into the engineering courses offered by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University will be given on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET). The candidates will be able to obtain the online application form from the website of university in the month of January.
Aspirants wishing for admissions into engineering courses of Vellore Institute of Technology will have to qualify the university level entrance exam, VITEEE. The online application process will begin from the month of November and the exam will be conducted in the month of April.
The SRM University will conduct SRMJEEE, an engineering entrance exam to screen candidates for admission into its engineering courses. It is expected that the exam will be held in the month of May and the interested applications can apply for the same in online mode.
Interested candidates can apply online for the National Entrance and Scholarship Test (NEST) conducted by the Lovely Professional University. The candidates clearing the exam will be granted enrolment into the engineering courses offered by the university. Candidates with 90% or above marks in class 12th are eligible for direct admission.
The Kalinga Institute of technology will conduct engineering entrance exam to screen candidates for admission. The exam will be conducted at university level and those qualifying it will be eligible for enrolment into the engineering courses offered by this institute.
The Aligarh Muslim University will select the candidates for enrolment into its engineering courses on the basis of entrance exam. The exam is referred to as AMUEEE and will be conducted hopefully in the month of May. Candidates submitting their applications successfully will be able to appear for the exam.
Vinayaka Mission University (VMU) will shortlist the candidates for admissions into its different engineering colleges on the basis of their performance in the qualifying exam. The candidates hoping to be considered for the admission process will be able to submit their application tentatively from February.
Admissions into IFCAI institutes’ engineering courses will be granted to the candidates on the basis of Admission Test for ICFAI Science and Technology (ATIT). Candidates interested for the admission process will be able to submit their application form in online mode.
VSAT
Candidates who wish to get admissions to the engineering courses offered by the Vignan University will have to clear the Vignan’s Scholastic Aptitude Test (VSAT). The exam will be conducted as a computer-based test and the candidates can apply for the exam in both online and offline modes.
The Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test, organized by the Andhra University, will screen the candidates for admission into engineering courses of this university. The process of application is expected to begin from the month of March and exam to be held in May.
The Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will conduct Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) to select the candidates for engineering admissions. The candidates qualifying this exam will be given enrolment into engineering courses offered by the university itself.
Post Graduate Engineering Exams 2022
Candidates hoping to get admissions into the ME/ M.Tech courses offered by the IITs can apply for the GATE exam. The qualified candidates will also be eligible for employment in PSUs. The exam will be conducted at a national level hopefully in the month of February.
Admissions into M.Tech degree courses offered by the SRM University will be offered on the basis of SRM Graduate Engineering Entrance Test (SRMGEET). The exam is a university level exam and will be held in the month of May (tentatively). The candidates can apply online for the same from November.
To select candidates for admission into postgraduate courses in the field of engineering AP PGECET will be conducted. The entrance exam will be conducted tentatively in the month of May and the application for the same is expected to be released in March.
Candidates who wish to be considered for admission into the postgraduate engineering courses of Telangana State can apply for TS PGECET. This is a state level online entrance exam for the application process will begin from the month of March.
The Karnataka Examination Authority will organize the PGCET for shortlisting the candidates for admissions into postgraduate engineering courses. Enrolment to the qualified candidates will be offered in full-time and part-time M.Tech courses of the institutes of the Karnataka state.
The Gujarat PGCET will be held at the state level to screen candidates for admissions into ME/ M.Tech courses offered by the institutes of the state. The examination will be conducted in online mode and will be held most probably in the month of June.
Admissions to the candidates into the postgraduate engineering courses offered by the VIT institute will be given on the basis of entrance exam. The VIT Master’s Entrance Exam will be conducted at the university level and is expected to be held in June.
