The GITAM Institute of Science offers admissions to the candidates into its B.Sc and M.Sc degree courses on the basis of entrance exam. GSAT 2022 (GITAM Science Admission Test) is a university level entrance test conducted for shortlisting the candidates for admissions. The application form for GSAT will be released in both online and offline mode in the month of April 2022 (tentatively). The admission test is expected to be conducted in the month of May 2022. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the exam as per the specified schedule.

GSAT 2022 – Main Highlights

• Candidates can apply for more than one program by submitting separate application form for each one of them.
• Application fee will also be submitted separately for each program the candidates apply for.
• Application forms will be made available in both online and offline mode and so will the admit card.
• GITAM is not responsible for delay in receipt or loss of application forms.
• Entry into the exam hall will not be granted to the candidates in absence of a valid admit card.
• The candidates who fail to report for counseling or admission in time will lose their seats.

GSAT Eligibility Criteria 2022

GSAT 2022 eligibility criteria for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses are provided below:

For undergraduate courses:

• BCA: Candidates who have cleared their class 12^th or equivalent exam are eligible to apply.
• BEM (Bachelor of Environmental Management): Those who have passed intermediate/ class 12^th/ vocational or equivalent can apply for BEM.
• B.Sc (Mathematics, Physics, Electronics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science) and B.Sc (Mathematics, Electronics, Computer Science): The applicants should have passed their class 12^th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.
• B.Sc (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science): A pass in class 12^th or equivalent exam with Mathematics as a subject is required.
• B.Sc (Hons) Chemistry: The candidates who have cleared their 12^th standard exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology or equivalent are eligible.
• B.Sc (Biochemistry, Microbiology, Bioinformatics), B.Sc (Biochemistry, Chemistry, Bioinformatics/ Microbiology), B.Sc (Hons) Food Technology and Integrated M.Sc Biotechnology: Applicants should have passed their class 12^th exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology or D.Pharmacy or vocational course with Fisheries/ Sericulture/ Dairying/ D.MLT.

For postgraduate courses:

• M.Sc Applied Mathematics: The candidates who have done B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the subjects and have studied Mathematics & Physical sciences at intermediate level are eligible.
• M.Sc Physics: A B.Sc degree with Mathematics & Physics and any other allied subject is required.
• M.Sc Electronic Science: Applicants should have done B.Sc with Mathematics and Physics/ Electronics and any other allied subject.
• M.Sc Chemistry (Analytical/ Organic): Those who hold B.Sc degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects are eligible.
• M.Sc Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Food Science & Technology/ Bioinformatics: B.Sc with Life Sciences/ BEM/ B.Sc Food Science/ Home Science/ B.Tech Biotechnology and allied subjects/ B.Pharma/ BPT/ MLT/ BDS/ B.Sc with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ BCA with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks is mandatory.
• M.Sc Environmental Science: Candidates should hold BEM/ B.Sc in Life Sciences or Physical Sciences/ B.Tech/ B.Pharma degree to be eligible.
• M.Sc Data Science and MCA: The candidates with any degree with Mathematics at class 12^th or degree level or equivalent can apply.

GSAT Application Form 2022

The candidates can apply online for GSAT 2022. Apart from this, they can also download the application form or can obtain it through post. Online applications will be made available on the website gitam.edu. To get the application through post, the candidates should send a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address, accompanied by DD for Rs. 550/- drawn in favor of Principal, GITAM Institute of Science payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank.

The candidates can fill the application form by providing their basic personal and academic details. After entering the required information into the form, the candidates can submit it online. In case of offline application, it can be submitted along with copies of important certificates and prescribed fee so as to reach the Principal, GITAM Institute of Science, GITAM (Deemed to be University), Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam- 530045. The application fee for GSAT 2022 will be Rs. 500/-.

Admit Card

• The GSAT 2022 admit card will be sent through post to the candidates who submit their application on time.
• Candidates will also be able to download their admit card from the official website of GITAM University.
• On the admit card, details such as candidates’ name, program name, test code, test center, exam date, hall ticket number, etc will be printed.
• A printout of admit card should be taken by the candidates and carried to exam center on day of exam.
• In case of non-receipt of hall ticket, candidates should contact the office of the Principal, GITAM Institute of Science, GITAM at telephone two days before the test.

Result

• Result of the entrance test is expected to be released in the month of May 2022 in online mode.
• Candidates will be able to check their result from the official GITAM website using their roll number, date of birth, etc.
• Based on the marks obtained in the entrance test, a merit list of the qualified candidates will be prepared.
• Candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be allowed to take part in the counseling process.

Counseling

• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for counseling round where their documents and eligibility will be verified.
• Details of the counseling process will be communicated to the candidates through official website.
• Candidates reporting for counseling should carry their original certificates with them.
• After certificates are verified, the applicants will be granted final admissions.
