The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will organize the Gujarat PGCET 2024 to select candidates for admission into ME/ M.Tech and M.Pharma courses. Enrollment to the shortlisted candidates will be granted into Government and Self-financed institutes of Gujarat state. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the admissions in online mode tentatively from the month of June 2024. However, to fill the application form, the candidates will first have to purchase PIN cover from the designated centers. The Common Entrance Test is expected to be conducted in the month of July 2024.

Gujarat PGCET 2024 Overview

• GATE/ GPAT qualified candidates will be exempted from appearing in the common entrance test.
• CET qualified candidates will be offered admissions to the seats that remain vacant after filling GATE/ GPAT qualified candidates.
• Candidates can apply for more than one discipline for which he/she is eligible by using a new user id and PIN Number for each discipline.
• During choice filling, the candidates must take care to provide their choices in the order of preference.
• Application process, result announcement, counseling, all will be completely online.
• Before applying for the admissions, the candidates must check the course-wise eligibility criteria available on the website.

Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria must be fulfilled by the Gujarat PGCET 2024 aspirants:

• For engineering courses: The candidates should have passed BE/ B.Tech in relevant branch with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ SEBC candidates).
• For pharmacy courses: Applicants who hold a B.Pharma degree from a recognized university with at least 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ ST/ SEBC candidates) are eligible.

Gujarat PGCET Application Form 2024

• The candidates can obtain their application form for Gujarat PGCET from the official website www.gujacpcadm.nic.in.
• Using the 14 digit PIN that comes with the PIN cover, the candidates will be able to open and fill their applications.
• Basic details such as candidate’s name, father’s name, date of birth, gender, etc, GATE details like year of passing, marks, registration number, etc will be asked in the application form.
• Photograph and signature of the candidates in scanned format should also be uploaded in the application form.
• Non-GATE/ non-GPAT candidates will also have to provide the center for entrance test in the application form.
• After providing all the details into the application, the candidates can take a printout of the form.
• This printout along with the copies of all the important documents should be submitted at the Help Center before the specified date.

PIN cover cost:

• Before applying online, the applicants will have to purchase PIN cover containing User ID and 14 digit PIN costing Rs. 500/-.
• The payment can be done in cash and will be non-refundable.

Documents to be attached with the Application form

The candidate shall submit the self-attested copies of the following documents with the printout of application form:

• Class 12^th mark sheet
• Qualifying exam mark sheet/ statement of marks of final year
• Degree Certificate
• GATE/ GPAT score card (if applicable)
• School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate,
• Caste certificate for SC/ ST/ SEBC candidates, issued by competent authority
• Non Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate
• Certificate of Physical Disability for Physically Handicapped candidate
• Certificate of Ex-Serviceman, duly issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board, Gujarat
• A copy of certificate of In-Serviceman duly issued by the Commanding Officer of the respective unit in which he is serving
• Sponsorship letter in case of sponsored candidate
• Experience certificate from the employer for last 2 years in case of sponsored candidate

Gujarat PGCET Exam Pattern 2024

The exam pattern of the Gujarat PGCET 2024 is provided below:

• Mode of exam: Offline
• Duration of exam: 90 minutes
• Type of question: Objective type
• Number of questions: 100
• Marking scheme: 1 mark will be allotted for each correct question.
• Negative marking: There will be no negative marking.

Admit Card

• Admit card to appear in the exam will be uploaded on the official website of the admission committee.
• The candidates will be able to download their admit card using their registration details.
• After downloading, the candidates must take a printout of the admit card to be carried to the exam center.
• No candidates will be allowed entry into the exam hall without a valid admit card.
• Details of the exam centre and timing will be communicated to the candidates through their admit card.

Result

• The result will be declared hopefully in the month of July 2024.
• On the basis of their marks, a merit list of the candidates will be prepared.
• Separate merit lists will be prepared for the candidates of open category and for the candidates of reserved category.
• Counseling and admission process will be carried out according to the names of the candidates in the merit list.

Admission Procedure

• The qualified candidates will be allowed to provide their choice for course and institute by visiting the website gujacpcadm.nic.
• Seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of their performance in the test and the choices made by them.
• After seat allotment the candidates will have to report to the allotted institute to complete the formalities of admission.
• Candidates reporting for admission must carry their documents in original and prescribed tuition and other fees.
• Admissions will be confirmed after the successful submission of the fees.
