The ‘Institute of Banking Personnel Selection’ (IBPS) recruits the eligible aspirants for the clerks for more than a dozen public sector banks in India. The ‘Institute of Banking Personnel Selection’ (IBPS) conducts the Common Recruitment Process for the selection of banking personnel for clerical posts in the participating banks/financial institutions. Details of IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria

Nationality Eligibility Criteria for the IBPS Clerk Exam:

A candidate must be either –

(i) a Citizen of India or

(ii) a subject of Nepal or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Age consistent with IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria

  • The minimum age of the candidates needs to be 20 years.
  • Candidates must not have attained the age more than 28 years.
  • An applicant must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1993 and not later than 01.08.2001 (both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualification as according to the IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicants must have completed the bachelor level degree (Graduation) in any discipline from an institute/University which must be recognized by the Government of India.
  • Candidates, who are awaiting their result of the final year of graduation degree, can also apply.
  • Moreover, candidates need to make sure that they will be having their result declared before or on September 2018.

Language Proficiency for the IBPS Clerk Exam

  • Candidates must have proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT which an applicant wish to apply for.
  • The proficiency in the official language is that the applicant must know how to read, write and speak the Official Language of the State or Union

Computer Literacy for the IBPS Clerk Exam

  • Candidates will be required to have a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations or Computer
  • Or he should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects at the secondary school.
