The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade will select the candidate for admission into its MDA degree programme on the basis of written test. The IIFT 2024 entrance exam will be held most probably in December 2023. Application form for the same will release online most likely in October 2023.

Foreign Nationals and NRI category candidates are exempted from appearing in the entrance test. Such candidates can apply directly for interview on the basis of their GMAT scores. Candidates can get the complete details of the IIFT 2024 admission process from this post.

IIFT 2024 Overview

• Candidates are advised to communicate the application number in all correspondence with the institute.
• Request for change in the exam center opted is only permissible within the time limit given for the same.
• NRI-sponsored candidates and children of NRIs will not be considered under Foreign Nationals/ NRI category.
• Candidates called for interview will have to make their own travel arrangements. In case they are not able to present physically, interview will be taken through Skype.
• If the Foreign Nationals/ NRI category candidate has appeared for any MBA entrance examination in India held in 2024, he/ she will not be eligible to apply.

IIFT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for IIFT 2024 exam are given below as:

• A bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years done from a recognized university is required in order to be eligible for admissions.
• The minimum aggregate marks to be scored by the candidates at their bachelor’s degree level are 50% (45% for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates).
• Candidates appearing in the final year exam of their bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply.
• There is no age limit to appear for the IIFT 2024 exam.

IIFT 2024 Application Form

The candidates will be able to fill their application forms in online mode. Application form will be released on the official website of IIFT www.iift.edu.  Candidates must make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria given above before they proceed towards application process.

• In the application form, the candidates have to provide their basic personal and educational details.
• The candidates will also have to upload their photograph and signature in the application form in scanned format.
• SC/ST/PWD/OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates need to upload the requisite certificate as well with the application form.
• Choice for exam center should be provided in the form very carefully. Any change in the exam center after submission of form will be done by payment of Rs. 1000/-.
• Application form, complete and correct in every aspect can then be submitted by the candidates.
• Along with the form, the candidates will also have to submit a prescribed amount of application fee.

Application fee:

• The application fee for IIFT exam will be Rs. 1650/- for general/ OBC candidates and Rs. 825/- for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.
• For foreign national and NRI candidates, the application fee will be USD 85 or Rs. 5500/-.
• Payment of application fee can be done online through debit card/ credit card/ net banking or demand draft.

• Important topics: English Grammar, Vocabulary & Comprehension, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis

IIFT 2024 Admit Card

• The admit card for IIFT exam 2024 will be made available on the official website of the institute.
• Candidates will be able to download their admit card using their application details.
• Admit card will only be released online and will not be sent via post or courier.
• A printout of the admit card should be taken and carried to the exam center along with a valid identity proof.
• The candidates should preserve the admit card as it will also be required at the time of admission.

IIFT Result 2024

• The result of the written exam is expected to be released in the month of January 2024.
• A merit of the candidates will be made according to the marks obtained in the test and uploaded on the official website.
• Candidates will be able to see the merit list and can also download their rank card from the institute’s website.
• The candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be allowed to take part in group discussion, personal interview and written ability test.

IIFT 2024 Selection Process

• Shortlisted candidates will have to report for GD, PI and WAT rounds at different campuses as provided by them in application form.
• Call letter to the qualified candidates will be issued on the official IIFT website.
• Foreign national and NRI candidates will be shortlisted for interview on the basis of their GMAT scores.
• The performance of the candidates in interview will be assessed based on which they will be offered final admissions.
• Certificates and eligibility of the candidates will also be verified at the time of interview. Therefore, the candidates must report for interview with all important documents.

Important Documents

The candidates of foreign nationality or NRI must enclose the following documents along with their application form:

• Filled in CV form
• Copy of latest GMAT score
• Attested copy of all academic mark sheets/ certificates (Class X, XII & Graduation)
• Copy of all Passport pages having official entries
• An undertaking that he/ she has not appeared for any MBA entrance examination for that year 2022
• Two letters of recommendation, preferably, one from the current supervisor or manager. The second letter should be from someone who is in a position to evaluate the applicant’s professional performance and managerial and leadership potential. No letter of recommendation should be written by immediate family members, e.g. parents, grandparents, siblings and spouse.
• The Indian nationals living, working, studying abroad should produce a certificate from the Indian Embassy/ High Commission/ Consulate of the country where the candidate is living currently, stating that he/ she has been resident in that country continuously for a period of at least 18 months as on 31^st December 2024.
