Ishan Uday – Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region 2024
The Ministry of HRD and the University Grants Commission will be provided to the deserving students with an aim to promote higher education and encourage children belonging to the economically weaker section of the north-eastern region. Those candidates who want to apply must have a domicile of NER. The application form for this scholarship will be available in online mode only. Ishan Uday – Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for Ishan Uday Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region are given below.
- Candidates should have a domicile of NER.
- Aspirants must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination from a school located within NER from a recognized board.
- 1st year Undergraduate students are also eligible for this scholarship.
- The income of the parents of the student should not exceed Rs.4.5 lakh per annum.
- For dual degree courses, the scholarship shall be tenable for the 1st degree only.
How to Apply?
The application form will be made available in online mode through the official website of the UGC. In the application form, all the aspirants need to provide all the necessary details and upload the required documents.
Selection Process
- The selection of candidates will be based on the marks scored by them in the class 12th or equivalent examination.
- The list of candidates selected for admission will be published on the official website of UGC.
- Award letters will also be available on the UGC online application portal.
Amount of Scholarship
The amount of scholarship for the candidates of different categories is given below.
- For General Degree courses: Rs. 5400/- per month
- For Technical & Professional courses (including Medical & Paramedical Courses): Rs. 7800/- per month
Important Documents
The candidates must submit the following documents duly forwarded by competent authority to the designated bank branch/ disbursing agency authorized by the UGC.
- Joining Proforma for fresh awardees
- Proforma for renewal
- Certificate of income by the Competent Authority of the State Government in which the student is domiciled.
- Domicile State Certificate by the Competent Authority
- Quarterly Continuation certificate
- Affidavit (Undertaking for not availing any other Scholarship in the form of an affidavit on Rs.50/- Stamp paper from the student/parent duly attested by SDM / First Class Magistrate / Gazetted Officer (not below the rank of Tahsildar) copying the prescribed languages.
