Eligibility Criteria for Jadavpur University Admission

The eligibility criteria for some courses for which Jadavpur University Admission 2024 will be provided are given below:

• BE/ B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Pharma: The candidates should have passed their class 12^th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized boars/ university obtaining a minimum of 60% marks (45% for the reserved category candidates) in aggregate of the given subjects. A valid NATA JEE Main 2020 (Paper 2) score is also required for admission into B.Arch course.
• Sc (Honors) in Mathematics: Candidates who have cleared their class 12^th exam from any recognized board with Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics and securing at least 75% marks (67.5% for OBC, 56.25% for SC/ ST and 40% for PD candidates) in aggregate of these subjects are eligible.
• ME/ M.Tech and M.Arch: Those with a bachelor’s degree in relevant field are eligible to apply for the admission process. A valid GATE score is also mandatory.
• Pharma: Those with a B.Pharma degree from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the admission process. A valid GPAT score is also mandatory as no entrance exam is conducted and admission will be granted on GPAT basis only.
• MCA: The candidates should hold a BCA degree in order to be eligible for admission into MCA.
• PhD: Applicants with a master’s or M.Phil degree in the relevant field from a recognized university are eligible to apply for PhD courses.

Selection Process

• Admission into undergraduate engineering, technology, architecture and pharmacy courses will be given on the basis of candidates’ performance in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE 2024).
• No entrance exam will be conducted for admission into ME/ M.Tech and M.Arch courses and selection will be done on the basis of GATE score.
• Similarly, there will be no entrance exam conducted for admission into M.Pharma course and enrolment will be granted on the basis of GPAT score.
• For some courses, like M.P.Ed, B.L.I.Sc, PhD and M.Phil, admissions will be granted to the candidates on the basis of entrance test conducted by the University.
• For rest other courses, selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of performance in the qualifying exam or qualifying exam plus entrance test.

Admission Procedure

• The candidates shortlisted for admission will have to get their documents and eligibility verified.
• After successful verification, the candidates will be offered final enrolment into the university.
• Selected candidates will have to submit their documents and the required admission and other fee.
• Those who fail to complete the admission formalities in time will be disqualified and no request in this regard will be entertained.
