JEE Advanced 2022
The JEE Advanced 2022 exam will be conducted by IIT Bombay on 28th August 2022 for admission in engineering courses offered by different IITs across the nation. Interested candidates need to apply for the exam by filling the online application form. The authority will release the application form on 8th August 2022, 4PM. Candidates should ensure their eligibility status before proceeding for the application form.
The exam will be conducted in the online mode where a computer system will be allotted to the candidates to mark the answers displayed on their screen. Candidates need to appear for two papers i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II. The total duration of the exam for each of these papers is 3 hours. Selection of the candidate will depend on the scores obtained by them in JEE Advanced 2022 examination.

JEE Advanced Application form 2022
Candidates can register for JEE Advanced by visiting the official website of the JEE Advanced. On successful registration, they need to upload relevant documents in the application form and fill the particulars asked in the online form. The details in the application form should be entered correctly as per the knowledge of the candidates and the official records. It is mandatory for the applicants to pay the requisite amount of application fee for the exam otherwise their application will be rejected by the authority.

Mode of payment: Candidates can pay the registration fee using online mode i.e. through credit card, debit card, internet banking or using E-Challan of SBI Bank.
JEE Advanced Syllabus 2022
Candidates need to prepare for the exam as per the syllabus prescribed by the authority. The syllabus of JEE Advanced covers a range of topics in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Here are some of the key topics covered under the JEE Advanced syllabus-
- Physics: Units and dimensions, dimensional analysis, Kinematics in one and two dimensions, Linear and angular simple harmonic motions, Hooke’s law, Young’s modulus, electricity, Optics, Modern Physics etc.
- Mathematics: Algebra, trigonometry, analytical geometry, differential calculus, integral calculus, vectors.
- Chemistry: General concepts, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, solid state, solutions, surface chemistry, nuclear chemistry, isolation & preparation and properties of non-metals, transition elements, preparation and properties of inorganic compounds, states of matters, atomic structure and chemical bonding, energetic, chemical equilibrium, metallurgy, ores and minerals etc, basic concepts of organic chemistry, carbohydrates, amino acids, preparation & properties of alkanes, alkenes & alkynes, benzene, phenols, polymers etc.

Eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2022
The eligibility criteria as laid down by the authority are given below-
- All Indian nationals (including PIO/OCI) can apply for the exam. Foreign candidates will be eligible for 10% seat under supernumerary quota.
- Candidates should have qualified the JEE Main exam and should be among the top 2, 24,000 candidates.
- Candidates should have been born on or after 1st October 1995. Those belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST/PWD) can claim age relaxation of five years.
- The JEE Advanced attempt should not be made more than 2 times in consecutive years.
- Students should have appeared in class 12th examination or its equivalent for the first time in the year 2021 or 2022.
- Candidates who once have been admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether or not they continued the program or have accepted an IIT seat in the past cannot apply for JEE Advanced exam.
Admit card
- The admit card for JEE Advanced 2022 can be downloaded by visiting the official website.
- Candidates should take a printout of the hall ticket and keep it safe for future reference.
- They should thoroughly check the details printed on their admit card and report the inconsistencies to the authority immediately if any is found.
- The admit card must be brought to the exam venue or else the candidates won’t be permitted to take the test.
- Students also need to bring a valid govt. ID proof along with the hall ticket.
Result and Counselling
- The result of the JEE Advanced will be published on the official web portal.
- Candidates can download their rank card by login into the portal.
- The authority will publish an All India Rank based merit list to shortlist the candidates for admission.
- Selected candidates will then be invited to attend the counselling conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
- Through JoSAA, candidates can apply for admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs.
- Candidates will be allotted a seat based on their merit rank, choice stated during the counselling, and availability of seat.
