JNVSTJNVST 2022– Those candidates who are looking to get admission into class 6th of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya need to clear an entrance test. JNVST 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure that they meet the following eligibility criteria before filling the application form.

Nativity

  • Only candidates from the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission.

Age Limit

  • A candidate seeking admission must be within the age group of 9 to 13 years.

Educational Qualification

  • Those candidates who want to apply for the JNVST 2022 examination should be studying in Class-V for the entire academic session in a Government/Government-Aided, other recognized school or ‘B’ Certificate Competency Course of National Institute of Open Schooling, in the same district where he/she seeks admission.

JNVST 2022 Application Form

Those candidates who want to apply need to fill and submit the application form in online mode. Aspirants will be able to access the application form by visiting the official website i.e. www.navodaya.gov.in. The complete details related to the application form submission are provided below.

  • To start the application process, candidates need to visit the official website and access the main application form.
  • In the application form, aspirants have to enter their complete educational, personal, and contact details.
  • The details entered in the application form must be accurate. Otherwise, the application form might get rejected.
  • Apart from the details, it is also compulsory to upload the scanned images of the following documents in the application form.
    • A certificate signed by the Head Master stating that the candidate is studying in class V
    • A Photograph of the candidate
    • Category certificate
    • Signature of the candidate
    • Signature of the Father/ guardian
  • It is recommended that candidates should verify each and every detail before submitting the application form.
  • To avoid the last-minute rush, it is recommended that the candidate should submit the application form well before the last date.
  • It is also advised to take a printout of the application form submitted for future requirements.

  • There is no application fee in order to apply for the JNVST 2022 examination.

JNVST 2022 Syllabus

The detailed syllabus for the JNVST 2022 is given below.

  • Arithmetic Test: Measurement of length, mass, capacity, time, money, etc, Distance, time & speed, Approximation of expressions, Simplification of Numerical Expressions, Percentage, Profit & loss, Simple interest and Perimeter, area & volume, Number & numeric system, Fundamental operations on whole number, fractional number, LCM & HCF, Factors & multiples, Decimals, Conversion of fractions to decimals & vice-versa.
  • Mental Ability Test: The questions will be based on figures and diagrams to determine the general mental functioning of the candidates.
  • Language Test: The questions will be asked to determine reading comprehension ability of the candidates.

JNVST 2022 Admit Card

  • Candidates will be able to download the admit card five days prior to the examination date.
  • The admit card will be made available in online mode through the official website.
  • To download the admit card, candidates have to provide their application number on the official website of NVS.
  • It is compulsory for all candidates to carry a hardcopy of the download admit card at the examination centre.
  • Candidates must keep the admit card safe even after the examination as it will be required at the time of the admission.

JNVST 2022 Result

  • After conducting the examination, authorities will declare the result in online mode through the official website.
  • In addition to online, candidates may also check the result from the office of the concerned JNV, District Education Officer, District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti of the region.
  • Authorities will also send the SMS regarding the result declaration on the registered phone numbers of the candidates.
  • Those who will score more than qualifying marks will be invited to participate in the further round of the selection process.

JNVST 2022 Selection Process

  • All those candidates who will clear the written test need to report for the admission as per the schedule to be released by the respective JNV.
  • Candidates reporting for the admission process must carry their original documents with them for verification purpose. Apart from this, a set of photocopies will also be required.
  • The seats will be allotted only after the proper verification of documents.

  • Proof for date of birth
  • Proof for eligibility as per the conditions of NVS
  • For candidates seeking admission under rural quota, a certificate from the competent authority to the effect that the child had studied in a school located in a rural area
  • Category certificate for SC/ ST candidates
  • Medical certificate signed by Chief Medical Officer of the District concerned for PWD candidates
  • Certificate with regard to gender for transgender candidates
  • Residence Certificate in prescribed proforma in case of NIOS study only

Question – 1: My son was unable to clear the JNVST examination last year. Can he apply for the same this year?

Answer: No, you should note that No candidate is eligible to appear in the JNV Selection Test 2022 for a second time, under any circumstances.

Question – 2: What is the reservation criteria for rural area candidates?

Answer: At least 75% of the seats in a district will be filled by candidates selected from rural areas and remaining seats will be filled up from the urban areas of the district.

Question – 3: Is there any reservation for the girl students?

Answer: 1/3 of the seats are reserved for girl students.

Question – 4: Is there any relaxation in the age limits for SC/ ST candidates?

Answer: No, the age of a candidate seeking admission irrespective of his/her categories must be within the age group of 9 to 13 years.

Question – 5: What if I am not satisfied with the result. Can I apply for the rechecking or re-evaluation?

Answer: No, there is no such provision in the JNVST 2022 examination.
