One of the state universities in Karnataka will release the official notification for Karnataka State Eligibility Test or KSET 2022. Last year, the exam was conducted by the University of Mysore. The aim of this exam is to determine eligibility for candidates looking to work as Assistant professors in the state. Those candidates who are looking to apply for this exam need to submit an online application form before the last date. They should ensure that they are eligible before applying. There is no upper age limit for this exam. All the necessary information regarding KSET 2022 is provided in this post.

KSET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Those candidates who want to apply must make sure that they meet the following eligibility criteria.

  • Aspirants must have passed Master’s Degree or an equivalent examination with at least 55% of marks (without rounding off) for general category and 50% for Schedule Category (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST),Persons with Disability (PWD), OBCs i.e., Cat-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB.
  • Those candidates who are in the final year of their Master’s Degree program can also apply.
  • Please note there is no upper age limit to apply for this exam.

KSET 2022 Application Form

Those candidates looking to apply need to submit the application form online. The application process will take place through the official website i.e. http://kset.uni-mysore.ac.in. The complete process of application form submission is explained below.

  • First of all, you need to visit the official website of the KSET and register yourself.
  • At the time of registration, you will have to enter a few important details like your name, phone number, email address, etc.
  • Next, you may sign-in by entering the sign-in credentials. These credentials will be generated at the time of registration.
  • Now, the main application form will display on your screen. In the main application form, you will have to enter your complete educational personal and contact details.
  • Make sure you enter accurate details because incorrectly filled application forms will be summarily rejected.
  • Along with the details, you will have to upload scanned images of your photograph and signature.
  • After entering the details, you need to pay the required application form online.
  • Once the fee is paid, you may submit the application form.
  • Finally, take a printout of the application form submitted for future references.

Application Fee

The application fees are different for candidates from various categories as given below.

  • General – 1150/-
  • Cat-IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB – 950/-
  • Cat-I, SC,ST, PWD – 650/-

Mode of payment – Students can pay the application fee online using Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or State bank Buddy e-Wallet Payment. Apart from this, you can also pay the application fee offline by making a cash payment at all the SBI branches PAN India (Cash/only SBI cheques are accepted).

 KSET 2022 Admit Card

  • Soon after the application form submission process gets over, authorities will release admit cards for candidates.
  • To download the admit card/ hall ticket, candidates will have to visit the official website and sign in by entering the credentials generated during registration.
  • The admit card will carry crucial information like examination timings, date, and venue.
  • It is necessary for all candidates to carry their original admit cards at the examination center.
  • Along with the admit card, candidates also need to have the following documents at the examination center.
    • One passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form) for pasting on the specific space in the Attendance Sheet at Centre during the Examination.
    • Any one of the Authorized Photo IDs (must be original, valid and nonexpired) – PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport / Aadhar Card (With photograph)/ Aadhaar Enrollment No/ Ration Card). Remember, the name on the photo identification must match with the name as shown on the Admit Card.

KSET 2022 Exam Pattern

  • Mode of examination – Offline (Pen and Paper Based Test)
  • Type of questions – Objective type multiple choice questions
  • Number of Papers – 2
  • Number of questions – 150 (50 in paper I and 100 in paper II)
  • Duration of examination – 3 hours (1 hour for paper I and 2 hours for paper II)

KSET 2022 Answer Key

  • The examination conducting authority will publish the answer key soon after the examination.
  • With the help of answer keys, candidates can get a rough idea about the marks they are going to score in the exam.
  • Apart from this, authorities will also provide an opportunity to all candidates to challenge answer keys if they are not satisfied with the same.
  • The final answer keys will release after considering all the challenges. The result will be prepared on the basis of the final answer keys.

KSET 2022 Result and Merit List

  • Candidates will be able to check KSET result online through the official website.
  • The result will display on your screen after entering the registration details.
  • The number of candidates to be qualified (total slots) for Eligibility for Assistant Professors shall be equal to 6% of the candidates appeared in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II) of KSET.
  • Apart from this, the minimum qualifying marks for General Category students are 40% (Aggregate of all the two papers taken together)
