NHTET 2022: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Date
National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) will release the official notification for National Hospitality Teachers Eligibility Test (NH TET). It is a national level exam organized for the recruitment of Assistant Lecturer and Teaching Associates. Those candidates who want to apply need to fill and submit the online application form before the last date. Aspirants must ensure that they are eligible before filling the application form. NHTET 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must make sure that they meet the following eligibility norms before applying for the NHTET 2022 examination.
Age Limit
The maximum age limits for different posts for students of various categories are as follows.
- General and EWS categories
- Teaching Associates – 30 years
- Assistant Lecturer – 35 years
- OBC category
- Teaching Associates – 33 years
- Assistant Lecturer – 38 years
- SC/ ST and PD categories
- Teaching Associates – 35 years
- Assistant Lecturer – 40 years
Educational Qualification
- Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Hospitality Administration/ Hotel Management with at least 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute with a minimum of 55% marks. Please note that those candidates who are applying on the basis of a Bachelor’s degree need to have at least 2 years of Hospitality Industry Experience after obtaining a degree.
Note: Those candidates who are in the final year of their PG degree can also apply.
NHTET Application Form 2022
The application form for NHTET 2022 examination will release in online mode only. Those interested and eligible candidates who want to apply need to visit the official website in order to access the application form. The complete process of application form submission is explained below.
- To start the application process, candidates have to get a demand draft of the application fee from any scheduled bank. It is necessary to get a demand draft before filling the application form because it is compulsory for all candidates to enter DD number in the application form.
- Then, aspirants have to visit the official website and access the main application form.
- In the main application form, candidates will be asked to provide their academic, personal, and contact details.
- Details entered in the application form must be accurate. Otherwise, the application form can get rejected.
- Along with the details, candidates have to upload scanned images of the following documents in the application form.
- Passport size photograph of the candidate in the required resolution and pixel.
- A valid photo ID card – Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving Licence and Passport.
- After submitting the application form, candidates must take a printout of their filled in application form containing three pages.
- The printouts of the application form along with a demand draft of the application fee must be sent to the council before the last date.
Application Fee
The application fees for candidates of different categories are as follows.
- General/ EWS/ OBC categories: Rs. 800/-
- Female candidates of all categories/ SC/ ST/ PD candidates: Rs. 400/-
Mode of payment: The fees should be paid in the form of a demand draft to be sent to the council along with the printout of application form. Please note that the demand draft and application form printouts must be sent either via speed post or registered post.
NHTET 2022 Admit Card
- It is necessary for all candidates to download their admit cards online through the official website. No printed admit cards will be sent to any candidate.
- It is necessary for all candidates to provide their registration details in order to access the admit card.
- Information regarding the date, time, and venue of the NHTET examination 2022 will be mentioned on the admit card.
- No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall without a printout of Admit Card and the original ID card uploaded in the application form.
- It is recommended that candidates should keep the admit card safe even after the exam as it will be required at the time of admission.
NHTET Exam Pattern 2022
The pattern of NHTET exam 2022 is given in the table below.
- Mode of examination: Offline (OMR sheet based test)
- Type of questions: Objective type multiple choice questions
- Number of papers: 3 (Paper – I, Paper – II, and Paper – III)
- Number of questions: 200 questions
- Maximum marks: 400 marks

NHTET 2022 Syllabus
The syllabus of NHTET 2022 is given below.
- Paper – I: Questions will be designed to test aptitude and method towards teaching, reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness/ knowledge of candidates.
- Paper – II: Nutrition, Food science, General Management, hotel accounts (for hospitality related teaching posts)
- Paper – III: Question will be asked from the core areas of hospitality i.e. Food Production, F & B Service and Management, Accommodation Operation Management and House Keeping Management.
NHTET Answer Key 2022
- After the examination, officials will upload answer keys online through the official website.
- In case candidates are not satisfied then they can challenge the answer keys with documentary proof within 4 days’ time by mail to diraf-nchm@nic.in only.
- Updated answer keys will be updated on the official website in case challenges are accepted.
- The institute will prepare result on the basis of updated answer keys.
NHTET 2022 Result
- The result will be declared in online mode through the official website.
- To check the result, candidates have to provide their roll number and other registration details.

Question – 1: In which mode the application form for NHTET 2022 will release?
Answer: The application form will release in online mode only. However, candidates send the hard copy of the application form submitted online.
Question – 2: In which cities the examination will take place?
