To help the BC/ EBC students with their studies after clearing the matric exam, the post matric scholarship scheme has been launched. The application form is expected to be released in the month of February 2024 and can be filled by the applicants through online mode. Only the candidates who are a native of Bihar and belong to BC/ EBC category are eligible for this scholarship. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria for Post Matric Scholarship Bihar for BC/ EBC Students:

• Only permanent residents of Bihar who belong to BC/ EBC category are eligible.
• Annual family income of the candidates should not exceed Rs. 1.5 lakhs.
• Candidates should be pursuing any recognized course from any recognized institution.
• Only two boy children of a same family will be eligible for this scholarship. No such rule is there for girls.

How to apply?

• Application form for the BC-EBC Post Matric Scholarship Bihar will be made available on the official website of National Scholarship Program.
• By providing their personal, academic, contact and other details, the candidates will be able to fill the application form.
• Once all the information is entered, the candidates can submit their applications online.
• After online form submission, the important documents as listed below should be attached along with the hard copy application form and sent to the institute currently enrolled in for verification.
• One copy after verification will be sent back to the candidates that should be kept safe by them.

Important Documents

Two sets of attested photocopies of the following documents should be submitted by the candidates along with the application form.

• Mark sheet and other certificate of previous class
• Income certificate of the parents issued by competent authority
• Category certificate issued by competent authority
• Residential certificate issued by competent authority
• First page of bank passbook showing IFSC code and account number
• Aadhaar card
• Tuition fee receipt of the current year
• Photograph of the candidates

Selection Procedure

Candidates who meet all the criteria prescribed above will be selected for the scholarship on the basis of means.

Rate of scholarship

Proper financial assistance as decided by the Govt. will be offered to the selected candidates for continuing their post matric education.
