Candidates who wish to be considered for this scholarship scheme can fill and submit their applications online. The application form will be released tentatively in the month of February 2024. Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility conditions must be satisfied by the candidates applying for Bihar Post Matric Scholarship for ST students:

• Candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar can only apply.
• The applicants should belong to the ST category of Bihar.
• Candidates should be enrolled in a recognized course in any of the institution recognized by Central/ State Govt.
• Annual family income of the candidates from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs.

How to apply?

• Online application form for Bihar Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students will be released on the official website of NSP www.scholarships.gov.in.
• Into the application form, the candidates will have to provide their basic personal and academic details.
• After providing the details as asked in the application form, the candidates should submit it online.
• Hard copies of the application form should be taken and enclosed with the documents as listed below and sent to the institute currently studying in.
• One copy of the documents will be kept by the institute and the other will be sent back to the candidates.
• This copy should be kept safe by the candidates as it will be required at a further stage.

Attested photocopies of the following documents should be enclosed with the application form and sent to the current institute:

• Aadhaar card
• Photograph of the candidates
• Mark sheet and other certificate of previous class
• Category certificate issued by competent authority
• Residential certificate issued by competent authority
• Tuition fee receipt of the current year
• Income certificate of the parents issued by competent authority
• First page of bank passbook showing IFSC code and account number

Selection Procedure

Selection of the candidates (who meet all the prescribed conditions of eligibility) will be done on the basis of means.

Rate of scholarship

Proper financial assistance as decided by the Govt. will be offered to the selected candidates for continuing their post matric education.
