To encourage the PWD candidates and help them with their studies after the matric, the Post-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities has been introduced. Advertisements regarding this scheme will be given in the appropriate timing through suitable media and website. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply for the scholarship through online mode from the NSP website. Eligibility Criteria
- Only Indian national candidates can apply.
- The candidates studying in classes IX and X can apply for this scholarship.
- Students with disability 40% and above and having a valid certificate of disability are eligible for this scholarship.
- Not more than 2 children with disabilities of the same parents will be allowed to avail this scholarship.
- Annual family income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
Application Process
- Online application form for Post-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities will be released on the official National Scholarship Portal.
- To fill the application form, the candidates will have to provide their basic personal and academic details.
- Important documents in scanned format should be uploaded in the application form as well.
- Once all the details are submitted in the application form successfully, it can be submitted online.

- Student’s photograph
- Age proof
- Disability certificate
- Income certificate
- Tuition fees receipt
- Last academic qualification certificate
Selection Procedure
Selection of the candidates for the scholarship will be done on the basis of following parameters:
- Fulfillment of the prescribed eligibility criteria
- Recommendation of the State Education Department
- Number of slots available in the state
- Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying exam
- Percentage of disability in the candidate
Rate of scholarship
- Maintenance allowance: Rs. 500/- for day scholars & Rs. 800/- for hostellers
- Book grant: Rs. 1000/- per annum
- Disability allowance:
- Visually impaired: Rs. 4000/-
- Hearing impaired: Rs. 2000/-
- Physically disabled: Rs. 2000/-
- Intellectual disability: Rs. 4000/-
- Rest other disabilities: Rs. 2000/-
