Pune University Eligibility Criteria 2022

The eligibility criteria are different for various courses as given below.

MBA

  • Candidates must have completed graduation with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates).

MBA Pharma Biotech

  • Aspirants should possess a UG or PG degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Only 45% marks are required in case of reserved in Science stream (general or special with Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Genetics, Life Sciences, Marine Biology, Microbiology, Physics, Zoology, etc.), Agriculture, Ayurveda, Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, Technology, Veterinary Sciences, Technology or Engineering.

M.Sc. Chemistry

  • Candidates need to have BSc in Chemistry or BSc in Biochemistry or BSc in Vocational with Chemistry.

M.Sc. Computer Science 

  • Any science or Engineering graduate with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks with Maths at class 12th level (45% for reserved category candidates).

M.Sc. (Media and Communication Studies)

  • Candidates need to have a UG degree from a recognized degree.

M.A (Mathematics)

  • Aspirants need to have a BA degree in Mathematics.

M.A (Defence and Strategic Studies)

  • Candidates should have a BA/ BSc with Defence Strategies Studies Special or General subject/ Military Science or a UG degree in any faculty with PG Diploma in (Counter Terrorism Studies/ Defence Analyst and National Security/ Disaster Management and national Security/ Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Thought on India’s National Security from SPPU

Undergraduate Courses

BTech/ B.Sc Blended (Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Earth Science) 

  • Aspirants should have passed class 12th with Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

B.A. (Liberal Arts)

  • Candidates should have completed B.Sc with any stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts).

B.A. (Drama)

  • Aspirants must have passed completed class 12th with English/ 3 year diploma after class 10th.. Apart from this, candidates must have participated in any capacity (acting/ direction/ bac stage activity) in at least 4 plays/ presentations.

BBA

  • Aspirants should have completed class 12th with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates).

Bachelor of Law (LLB)/ Bachelor of Laws (General)

  • Candidates must have completed graduation in any stream.

Integrated Bachelor of Laws

  • Applicants should have passed class 12th or equivalent from a statutory or recognized board/ university in India.

B.Voc Programme (Automotive Automation, Automotive Manufacturing (Work Integrated), Information Technology and IT Enable Services, Renewable Energy, Jewellery Design and Gemology, Retail Management, Supply Chain Management (Work Integrated)

  • Candidates should have passed class 12th or equivalent with Science/ Vocational/ MCVC stream & no UG degree.

Bachelor of Oriental Learning (BOL) in Sanskrit

  • Candidates must pass in Class 12 or its equivalent with Sanskrit as one of the subjects.

Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)

  • Aspirants must have passed the class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board.

Pune University Application Form 2022

The application form for Pune University Admission will release in online mode only. Those who want to apply need to register through to the official website of Campus Common Entrance Platform (CCEP)

  • Those who want to apply need to register by providing some of their basic details like Username, password, course, year, email address, etc.
  • Once registered, you may sign-in by entering your user ID and password.
  • In the main application form, aspirants have to provide their complete educational, personal, and contact details.
  • The details entered in the application form should be accurate. Otherwise, authorities can reject the application form.
  • Along with the details, it is also compulsory for all candidates to upload scanned images of their passport size photograph and signature.
  • After that, aspirants are required to pay the necessary application fee. It is possible to pay the application fee online or by submitting the bank challan.
  • Once you are done submitting the application forms and fee then you need to take two printouts of each of the application form and fee receipt.

Application Fee

The application fee for candidates of different categories is as follows.

  • Open Category and Outside Maharashtra Candidates – Rs. 500/-
  • Reserved Category Candidates – Rs. 350/-

Mode of payment – The application fee can be paid either online or in offline mode. To pay the fee online, aspirants can use a credit card, debit card, or internet banking. On the other hand, to pay the application fee offline, aspirants may submit a bank challan along with the fee at any branch of Bank of Maharashtra / HDFC bank.

Admit Card

  • The admit card will release online through the official website of Pune University.
  • To download the admit card, aspirants have to provide their registration details.
  • An admit card is a very important document that contains important information like the date, time, and venue of the examination.
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without an admit card.
  • Apart from the admit card, it is also necessary for all candidates to carry their photo identity proof.

Pune University Online Entrance Examination (OEE) Exam Pattern

Pune University Entrance Exam 2022 Result

  • Before the publication of the final result, the university may also upload
  • After conducting the examination, the University will upload results online on its official website.
  • Candidates will be able to check their results by entering their roll number and other registration details.
  • Along with the merit, the university will upload merit lists for all the courses.
  • Those candidates who will secure more than cut-off marks will be shortlisted for admission.

Counselling

  • The counselling process of Pune University will take place after the publication of the result and merit list.
  • No candidate will be allowed to take part in the counselling process if his/ her name is not on the merit list.
  • All formalities of admission will take place during the counselling process.
  • Remember, the admission will confirm only after the payment of the admission fee and verification of documents.

Question – 1: What documents do I need to upload along with the Pune University application form?

Answer: Aspirants need to upload the following documents along with the application form.

  • A copy of the statement of marks of the qualifying examination passed, if applicable (which is required for the eligibility).
  • Photo-copy of the statement of marks of the last semester passed of the qualifying examination (in case, the final or terminal exam results are not declared by the time of application). However, the statement of marks of the final (terminal) semester/ year of the qualifying examination must be produced at the time of admission.
  • Photo-copy of the caste certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra in case of Reserved category candidates (if applicable). As per Government of Maharashtra rules, reserved category students belonging to state other than Maharashtra (other state) are treated as Open (General) category.
  • Photostat of a valid Non-creamy layer certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra in case of Reserved category (OBC/DTNT/SBC/Women) candidates (if applicable). Photo copy of certificate issued by Government of Maharashtra in case of EWS student.
  • Photo copy of the Medical certificate issued by the Civil Surgeon in case of ‘Persons with disabilities (P.H.)’ candidates (if applicable)

Question – 2: Will I get the admit card by post at my residential address?

Answer: No, the university will not send the hard copy of the admit card to any candidate.

Question – 3: What if a candidate is found to be ineligible at the document verification?

Answer: Please note that it is clearly mentioned in the official notification that it is the responsibility of the applicant to fulfill the eligibility conditions and comply with the admission requirements. If at any stage, it is noticed that a false claim has been made by the candidate or important facts have been concealed and/ or the candidate is not eligible, his/her candidature shall be liable for cancellation at any stage.

Question – 4: In case two candidates secure equal marks in the Pune University Online Entrance Exam (OEE) then who will get the admission?

Answer: In such a situation, a better merit position is given to the candidate security more marks in Section – B.
