Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Differently Abled Students (Diploma) for Technical Education 2024
To encourage further studies among the differently abled students, the Saksham Scholarship Scheme was launched by the MHRD and is implemented by the AICTE. Interested candidates, who also meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, can fill online application form to be considered for this scheme. Candidates will be selected for granting this scholarship on the basis of their merit. Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants who are enrolled into the 1st year of diploma course in any Institution approved by the AICTE through centralized admission process of the State/ Central Government are eligible.
- Disability of not less than 40% and family income not more than 8 lakh per annum during the preceding financial year is also mandatory (in case of married girl, the income of parents/ in-laws, whichever is higher will be considered).
How to apply?
- Candidates can apply online for the Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Differently Abled Students (Diploma) from the official website of AICTE.
- Basic personal and academic details of the candidates will be asked in the application form.
- The candidates will have to upload scanned copies of the important documents into the application form.
- Once all the details are entered into the application form as required, it can be submitted online.
Important Documents
The candidates should upload the following documents in application form in scanned format:
- Admission letter to diploma course
- Mark sheet of standard 10th/ 12th/ others as applicable
- Photograph & signature of the candidates
- Aadhaar card
- SC/ ST/ OBC Certificate, if applicable
- Annual family income certificate for the current financial year issued by Tahsildar or higher officer
- Tuition fee receipt, showing clearly and separately the amount of tuition fee paid
- Bank passbook showing name of the student, account number, IFSC code and photograph pasted at appropriate place duly signed by Manager with rubber stamp of Bank affixed
- Certificate issued by the Director/ Principal/ Head of the institute
- Declaration by parents duly signed stating that the information provided by their child is correct and will refund Scholarship amount, if found false at any stage
Selection Procedure
Selection of candidate will be made on the basis of merit in qualifying exam to pursue the technical diploma course in any of the AICTE approved institution.
Rate of scholarship
Tuition fee of Rs. 30000/- or at actual, whichever is less and Rs. 2000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals each year will be awarded.
