UGC NET Exam Pattern helps candidates know the important information related to the UGC NET Examination. National Eligibility Test (NET) also known by the name of UGC NET is a national level examination. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The aim of organizing this test is to determine the eligibility for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for Indian Nationals and for Assistant Professors in both Indian Universities & colleges. UGC NET Examination Pattern
The written test of UGC NET will take place in online mode and it has two papers i.e. paper 1 and paper 2. Those candidates who are preparing for this exam should check out the exam pattern given below.
- Mode of examination – Online (Computer-based test)
- Session – 2 (paper 1 and Paper 2 will take place in two different sessions)
- Medium of Examination – Questions are asked in both English and Hindi Language
- Duration – 6 hours (3 hours for each paper)
- Type of questions – Objective type multiple choice questions
- Number of questions – 150 questions (50 questions in paper 1 and 100 questions in paper 2)
- Marking Scheme – Each question will carry 2 marks
- Negative Marking – Not applicable.
