UPSC CMS 2024: Application Form from 10 April, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Date
The Combined Medical Services Examination (CMSE) will be conducted by UPSC to select the candidates for posts such as Assistant Divisional Medical Officer, General Duty Medical Officer, etc into different government departments. Candidates can fill and submit their application form in online mode. The application form will be released on 10 April 2024 and the exam will be held on 14th July 2024. The exam will be conducted online as a computer-based test.

UPSC CMS 2024 Highlights
- The candidates will have to send the printout of DAF with each page duly signed along with the self attested copies of the important certificates to the Commission.
- No request for withdrawal of candidature will be entertained under any circumstances.
- Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions.
- No admit card will be sent by post and will only be available for download in online mode.
- Applicants will be able to apply for more than one post/ service through a single application.

Eligibility Criteria
The interested candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria for UPSC CMS 2024 exam:
Nationality:
A candidate must be either a:
- Citizen of India, or
- Subject of Nepal, or
- Subject of Bhutan, or
- Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently setting in India.
Age limit:
- The candidate should not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st August 2024.

Educational Qualification:
- Candidates who have cleared their MBBS degree examination (written and practical) are eligible.
- Those who have not passed the examination yet can also apply but their selection will be subject of clearing their exam.
Application Form
The application form for UPSC CMS 2024 will be released in online mode and the candidates can obtain it by visiting the official website of UPSC. Candidates will be required to complete the Application Form in two parts- Part I and Part II.
- Personal details such as name, father’s name, category, nationality, email address, mobile number, etc will be asked in the application.
- Details of the MBBS exam such as passing status, passing year, name of the institute, marks obtained, etc will also be asked.
- Choice for the exam center should also be provided while filing the application form.
- The candidates will also have to upload the scanned copies of their photograph and signature into the form.
- Final submission of form can be done after providing all the details completely into the application.
- The candidates will also have to pay a required amount as application fee at the time of submitting the form.
Application fee:
- The application fee will be Rs. 200/- except female/ SC/ ST/ PH candidates who will be exempted from payment of fee.
- Submission of the application fee can be done by depositing cash in SBI branch or through net banking facility of SBI or credit card/ debit card of any bank.
Admit Card
- The admit card to appear in the online exam will be made available on the official UPSC website.
- Candidates who face any difficulty in downloading their admit card should contact commission regarding the same.
- While reporting for the exam, the candidates must carry their admit card along a valid identity proof.
- Discrepancy in the admit card should also get corrected by reporting the same to the commission.
Result
- The candidates will be able to check their result of the online test from the UPSC official website.
- Candidates who qualify the test will be invited to take part in the interview round.
- Original documents and eligibility of the candidates will be verified at the time of interview.
- Those clearing the interview round as well will be considered for final selection, given all the other criteria are fulfilled.
