West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board releases the WBJEE Examination Pattern along with the Information Bulletin. West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam is a state-level exam. The aim of this exam is to shortlist candidates who are looking to get admission in UG (undergraduate) Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture Courses. Those candidates who will clear this exam can get admission to various engineering colleges and universities across the state of West Bengal. WBJEE Examination Pattern
In order to prepare for the examination in a better way. Candidates must check and understand the WBJEE Examination Pattern.
- Mode of Examination – Offline (OMR sheet based examination)
- Type of questions – Objective type multiple choice questions with four options.
- Duration of examination – 2 hours
- Subjects – Mathematics, physics, and chemistry
- Shift – The exam will be conducted in two shifts i.e. Paper 1 (Mathematics) – 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and Paper 2 (Physics & Chemistry) – 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
- Marking Pattern – 1 mark will be provided for each correct answer in Category I and 2 marks will be provided for each correct answer in Category 2.
- Answering mode – Candidates have to fill the circles in the OMR Sheet in order to mark their answers. Please note that incorrect marking can lead to wrong answers.

WBJEE Marking Scheme
As you know, the marking scheme of WBJEE is a bit different from the rest of the examinations. The complete marking scheme is explained below.

WBJEE Exam Instructions
Here are some important exam day instructions for WBJEE Exam Instructions. Aspirants should remember these instructions when they visit the examination centre for WBJEE.
- Aspirants should reach the examination centre one hour before the examination timing.
- Candidates should also have complete knowledge of the exam pattern and WBJEE Syllabus before preparing for the exam.
- Candidates are also advised to visit the examination centre one day before the exam so that they don’t have to face any problems on the day of exam.
- Please make sure you carry the admit card to the examination centre.
- No electronic gadget will be allowed in the exam centre.
